I wasn't in class today because I had an orthodontists appointment that ended at 11. I got Savannah to turn in my essay and I hope I did a good job on it because it counts for 25% of my exam. I spent a lot of time on it and I actually enjoyed writing it. I'm gonna study really hard and I hope I get an A on my exam.
Today in class, Mr. Schick was not there. Instead of going to his room, we had Human Geo in Mrs. Gauthier's room. We had the whole class to write and proof read our essays for the exam. I found the essay was a bit harder than I thought and I was working on it the entire class and only got half way done. I am planning on finishing it in tomorrow's class. I hope we will get the whole class to work on our essays again tomorrow because that will be very helpful.
Today in class we had a test on migration. At first, I was scared that I would fail because I didn't study that much. When we took the test I realized I knew a lot more then I thought. The test had a lot of different things. One thing was Migration which is leaving from one country to another. Emigration is leaving a country and immigration is entering a country. Another thing is net migration which is the difference between the number of emigrants and number of immigrants. Circulation is moving every month or annually to different regions or countries.
Today in class we read a packet on migration, immigration, and emigration. migration is when someone ones moves from one place to another like when Mexican come to the U.S. Immigration is entering a country, so if I were to enter in Canada that would be immigration. Emigration is moving from one country and entering and living permanently to another country. Another thing I learned I the packet is that unauthorized immigration is when a person enter a country without going through any paper work or seeking for asylum, which means they're basically not allowed. Undocumented means they don't follow the rules governing the U.S. An illegal alien is when they're not a citizen.
Today in class, we listened to the rest of the podcast in class and then talked about our opinions of the podcast afterwards. In my opinion, I thought that the podcast was somewhat bias against Trump because it made him seem like he was an extremely bad person for not having as many exceptions for immigrants trying to apply for asylums in order to enter the United States. If anything, I think the law that Trump has made about accepting only around fifty people each day for court dates to receive an asylum is actually better for the United States. I believe this because some of these people entering the United States might not be employed right away and the problem they had in their original country might be still prevalent in the US. I also think that this could possibly lower the crime rates or keep them the same. For example, if we allowed just anyone to enter the US, crime would increase greatly in my opinion. Even though people may not agree with everything Trump does or says, I th...
